New Effort to Put Kidnapping Suspect on Trial

NEW EFFORT TO PUT KIDNAPPING SUSPECT ON TRIAL: The man charged with the kidnapping of Elizabeth Smart, who was abducted from her home here in 2002 and held for nine months as a captive teenage wife, is back in court, and back under the microscope. Federal prosecutors are trying to convince a judge that the defendant, Brian D. Mitchell, is not a delusional religious zealot — as a state judge concluded in 2005 when he found Mr. Mitchell mentally incompetent to stand trial — but rather a calculating criminal who simply used the trappings of religion as a tool of control and manipulation, especially in the interest of his libido.

While GPS knows where, the Code Amber Alertag knows who, what and when.

While GPS knows where, the Code Amber Alertag knows who, what and when.

Directional GPS has saved the lives of thousands by guiding emergency services to the precise location of people and pets in need of immediate medical attention. Getting there quickly however, may just be the first of many life and death decisions.

Daily, frontline medical and paramedical staff are asked to manage 911 emergency calls for unresponsive patients that cannot make their medical history available to those first on scene – a child in shock from eating peanuts, a self employed diabetic contractor fallen from a ladder or an Alzheimer’s victim found wandering in traffic. In fact, one in every four Americans has a chronic condition requiring special treatment or attention.

For the 13 million seeking treatment from emergency services getting the correct clinical assessment can be a life or death challenge – if the initial clinical diagnosis is compromised owing to a lack of accurate personal information, the treatment may be misdirected raising the risk of adverse reactions.

GTX Corp, a developer of personal location GPS devices and services is offering a secure web accessible digital ID tag through its missing people finder CodeAmber.com subsidiary. The Code Amber Alertag provides on the scene access to the essential information first responders must have to make informed treatment assessments.

Question, when you go out for a jog, do you carry ID with you…does your child carry ID when riding a bike… when grandma is in the garden is she carrying any ID? Who should be called if you were unable to speak…

GTX Corp signs licensing agreement for Code Amber

GTX Corp signs licensing agreement for Code Amber, a wholly owned subsidiary, to launch new patent pending digital ID tag and service

Code Amber Alertag to provide worldwide access to essential personal information in emergency situations for children, elderly, field workers and pets

MANDEVILLE, LA November 30, 2009,–Code Amber the nation's leading missing persons alert news service, a wholly owned subsidiary of GTX Corp (GTXO.OB), launches the Code Amber Alertag – a secure digital, comprehensive personal identification tag that supports the needs of first on the scene, assisting people and pets that are found missing, injured or in crisis. In case of an emergency anywhere in the world, the patent pending Barcode ID Tag and secured web portal will aid first responders by providing them essential personal and medical information that can assist in recovery, influence treatment choices or provide notifications and permissions on how to best treat the person or pet in front of them, right from their smart phone.

The Code Amber Alertag provides an essential and affordable personal crisis management service and will generate a new revenue stream for the Company through product sales and recurring annual subscription revenues. The ID Tag will cost 19.95 for one and $69.95 for a family pack of 5 and will have an annual $19.95 subscription portal access and data storage fee. The product and service will be promoted through Code Amber’s nearly 200,000 current opt-in data base, millions of ticker readers and site traffic in addition to many thousands of domains around the world and their internet visitors via affiliate marketing relationships. The Company also plans to market the world wide service through its existing domestic and international channels of distribution, all under the widely recognized and trusted Code Amber Brand.

The dramatic need for a secure digital identification tag and access from anywhere in the world through a handheld smart phone is born out of the ever increasing number of people and pets that wonder off or in need of emergency services and medical care. 65 million baby boomers, many of which will suffer the disorienting symptoms of dementia. 1 million children will get lost, but thousands more will fall off bicycles, skate boards or roof tops and sustain head traumas. Millions of pets every year get lost and are never returned to their proper owner. An over taxed emergency services system is already challenged with all these 911 calls. Crucial to administering timely and proper assistance and care, those first on site professionals or more likely an individual carrying a smart phone, will be well informed with access to an accurate and complete ID profile, contact information, insurance providers, primary physicians and medical history. The Code Amber Alertag is a life-extension of the Code Amber mission – to locate lost, missing, injured or abducted persons and is synergistic with the GTX Corp positioning of being the better people and pet finder.

GTX Corp has for the past seven years, invested in and successfully developed patented technologically advanced means and methods to provide personal location based solutions both domestically and internationally. “Our subsidiaries are synergistic and complementary with one another in their common purpose” states Patrick Bertagna, CEO of GTX Corp and describes the PLS people centric focus of the Company as an assuring commitment that we are always; WITH YOU.

EIGHT BILLION MINUTES SPENT ON FACEBOOK DAILY: More than 8 billion minutes are spent on Facebook every day, Facebook executive Mike Schroepfer said in a talk Wednesday at the Web 2.0 Summit here. Some 2 billion pieces of content are shared every week, and 2 billion photos are uploaded each month--1.2 million served per second on a "peak day," he said. "There is no more important thing we can do as a society than look out for each other's children," said Diane Dimond -- nationally known reporter, respected commentator, and frequent guest on CNN who also has a Code Amber endorsement video on You Tube.

The abduction of Elizabeth Smart

The abduction of Elizabeth Smart was a depraved assault against us all. It took away the sanctuary that each of our homes was supposed to provide our loved ones. Patrick Bertagna set out to develop a solution and founded GTX Corp technology that would afford each of us embedded GPS monitoring solutions that would discretely provide our location on a smart phone, PDA or computer. Nine months of terror could have been reduced to nine seconds, nine minutes or nine hours, but not nine months.

SALT LAKE CITY October 1st, 2009 @ 8:56pm -- It was a moment six years in the making. Elizabeth Smart took the stand at U.S. District Court Thursday during a competency hearing for her accused kidnapper Brian David Mitchell.

For two hours, the 21-year-old recounted the details from the nine months she was held in captivity. [CLICK HERE to read Elizabeth Smart's entire testimony]

She testified Brian David Mitchell came into her bedroom on the night of June 5, 2002, held a knife to her throat and told her to get up quietly, or he'd kill her and her family.

She said he told her to get her shoes on. When she reached for slip-on shoes, he told her to get some tennis shoes.

Code Amber Alerts on Your iPhone and iPod Touch

This is not your uncle Olaf's Volvo..

Code Amber has been publishing Amber Alert and Missing Endangered Alerts on the Web since August of 2002. We have over 440,000 participating web sites and desktops in our syndication network.

Now we have released our Code Mobile Amber Alerts and Missing Endangered Alerts App for iPhone and iPod Touch.

This is not an interface to a web site. Using the iPhone's GPS capabilities we know where the phone is and "Push" a notification to phones in the vicinity of the Alert. All Alerts for the US and Canada are viewable but if you are in the area you will get notified.

Our goal is to mobilize an entire community proactively when a child, a senior or a developmentally disadvantaged person is missing.

Imagine an entire community being notified and on the lookout within minutes of someone in danger going missing.

The App is free and available here http://www.itunes.com/app/codemobile
