O.J. Simpson: Crushing on Kris Jenner AND Caitlyn Jenner From Prison?!

O.J. Simpson has been back in the news in recent weeks, due mainly to the fact that the miniseries based on his famous murder trial proved to be a major ratings success for FX.

Old J. Simpson

The renewed interest in O.J.'s bizarre life and times has revealed that despite the fact that he's been locked up since 2008 there's still plenty of drama in the world of the Juice.

In addition to the recent controversy over a knife that was found on Simpson's property and briefly thought to be the weapon he used to kill Nicole Brown Simpson and Ronald Goldman (DNA testing eventually proved that it wasn't.), O.J.'s story has now become intertwined with the lives of reality TV's most famous family.

As you may already know, Simpson was a long time friend of the Kardashian family before his fall from grace.

He even credits patriarch Robert Kardashian, Sr. with helping him beat the murder charges against him.

But while the Kard clan has gone on to experience unprecedented levels of celebutante fame, O.J. has been serving a lengthy prison sentence on theft and kidnapping charges.

But that doesn't mean he's forgotten about the Kardashian-Jenner family.

According to UK tabloid The Sun, O.J. is already thinking about his post-prison romantic prospects (He's up for parole next year.), and they include not only Kris Jenner, but also her ex-husband, Caitlyn Jenner:

“O.J. has had a crush on Kris forever,” a source close to Simpson claims. “He believes the relationship that Kris is in now with Corey Gamble is a sham.

“He believes he is the man for her and intends to pursue her when he gets out of prison. There is definitely a long history there.”

But O.J.'s fondness for the women of the Jenner family doesn't end with Kris:

“O.J. is obsessed with Caitlyn,” says the insider. “He is struck by how she has captured the hearts of the world and said with a straight face, 'When I get out of here I would consider dating her too.'”

Apparently, Simpson's intentions aren't purely romantic, as he also views his relationships with Kris and Caitlyn as his best chance to restore his shattered public image:

“O.J. definitely has a plan when he gets out of prison and he intends to be around the Kardashians,” the source claims.

“He is going to pitch to them about getting a spot on the show. He is broke, he needs money and he feels his only chance to get back on TV - which is his dream - is to hook up with his old 'family.'”

Don't worry, O.J. We're someone will offer you a reality show pretty much the day you're out of the clink.

'Transparent' - Crew Up in Arms Over Trans-Friendly Toilets (PHOTOS)

0418-unisex-bathroom-TMZ-01Transparent” is a forward-thinking show about transgender acceptance, but the kumbaya spirit stops at the bathroom door.

Sources connected with the production tell us, members of the crew are up in arms over the unisex bathroom on the set.

We're told the brass changed the drill … from now on both bathrooms are open to all, with no restrictions. Just come on in and do your business, regardless of who's there.

Check out the sign - it shows women and men … and the symbol commonly used for all-genders.

0418-unisex-bathroom-TMZ-02The beef is that men, women and transgenders can all enter as they please, making it uncomfortable for some of the crew. Women are particularly worried about walking in and seeing a dude peeing at the urinal.

Now this is interesting … we're told several crew members are too scared to complain, for fear they'll be labeled “transphobic,” which would be the kiss of death on that set.

We reached out to Amazon … so far no word back.

'Teen Mom 2': Leah Messer Caught Texting & Driving With Her Twins Again - Watch

Outrageous! Leah Messer isn't making a very good case for getting custody of her daughters back. She's been caught texting while driving AGAIN with both of her little ones in the backseat!

Uh oh! Leah Messer, 23, is still texting and driving while her six-year-old twins Aleeah and Aliannah Simms are in her mini-van. The Teen Mom 2 star has been caught doing this dangerous activity on camera in previous episodes of the show while the girls are in her care, and we're shocked it's still continuing. Not only is it illegal, it's so such a scary position to put her kids in!

In a preview clip for the Apr. 10 episode, Leah has just picked up her girls from school when Aleeah asks “Do you know what Ali told Daddy?” regarding their father Corey Simms. “You make us get here not late, mommy does.” Leah is seen looking down at a rather large mobile device, texting away with only her left palm on the steering wheel as her little girl chats with her. Does she not realize how dangerous this is?! She was caught on tape doing this before in the episode where she was driving the girls to school when they complained about how they weren't being fed enough. At this point we hope one of the show's producers would step in and say something to her about it!

As for the kids being late to school, Leah snapped at her daughter, “You been getting there on time! Ali, why would you lie like that?” When the little girl didn't respond, Leah said “First of all, you guys have no business worrying about what time you get to school. You just need to go to school. Let me and your father handle what time you get to school. Do you understand Ali?”

Leah has admitted she doesn't like getting up early to take the kids to school when it opens, and she won't even fix them breakfast beforehand because that would make her alarm clock go off even earlier! Man, NOT a Mother of the Year candidate in this one. Stream music, completely unlimited and ad-free, RIGHT HERE.

Join Amazon Prime For Free – Thousands of Movies & Shows Anytime

Leah learned that she lost primary custody of her girls on the March 30 episode of the show, after Corey took action after being worried sick about their girls' well being. Leah only has her kids on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, and is only required to bring them to school on Monday mornings, but according to her daughter's conversation, she isn't even getting them to school on time the one day a week she is required to!

HollywoodLifers, are you shocked that Leah keeps texting while driving with her kids in the car?

Kylie Jenner - Brawling Grandpa Was Boozing … Not Thirsty for Fame (VIDEO)

The melee that erupted around Kylie Jenner - between a defensive grandfather and photogs - was fueled by alcohol … according to the grandpa's family.

We spoke to the mother of one of the 3 girls who were waiting for Kylie outside The Nice Guy Saturday night … when the girls' grandfather opened a can of whoopass on the paps.

Sporting overalls and a cig hanging out of his mouth - gramps looked like he was straight out of central casting, but his daughter says the fight wasn't an attempt to grab the spotlight … it's just that he was drunk.

The mother, who wants to remain anonymous, tells us grandpa had a few drinks before going out, and then some more at a bar in Hollywood. She says the family had gone to The Nice Guy specifically to see KJ, because her 11-year-old daughter and her 2 friends are obsessed.

She says the girls are now grounded from following Kylie because she doesn't want people thinking they're stalkers. As for grandpa - she insists he's normally a “warm, caring man.”

He was NOT grounded.

You often don't think of opera at the famed Apollo Theater in Harlem. Tonight that changes: Charlie Parker's Yardbird gets its New York premiere there. It's an opera about the jazz saxophonist on the very stage where Parker played in his lifetime.

The opera's Swiss-born composer Daniel Schnyder is a jazz saxophone player himself, who is also classically trained. He wants to combine his two favorite kinds of music.

“These two things are far apart from each other,” Schnyder says, “and a lot of people think that doesn't work together, but that's not true. It's actually a big chance to create something new.”

Schnyder was commissioned by Opera Philadelphia to compose a work for tenor Lawrence Brownlee, a rising star in the opera world who's made his reputation singing in the 19th-century bel canto style.

“Bel canto is a kind of virtuoso art form,” Schnyder says, “where you have to sing very fast and very high, and you have to have a very flexible voice. And then we had a meeting, and I met Larry and that just came to my mind - that he would be the perfect Charlie Parker.”

Brownlee leapt at the chance to portray the influential jazz musician, one of the founders of bebop, who died at the age of 34 after a lifelong battle with substance abuse. Brownlee says he had to learn how to use his voice like a jazz instrument.

“With jazz musicians, they use the extremes of the instrument,” Brownlee says, “from very high to very low, fast, loud, soft, and to really explore every possible color of an instrument. And so, for me, in this process with Charlie Parker, it was about exploring those things. I have to sing really high, really low, as loud - my loud, my version of loud - and soft and all the things in between.”

And he has to scat sing. Schnyder's music for Yardbird is not only jazz-inflected. He has taken bits of Parker's own music and embedded it in the score.

“When he says, 'Now's the time to write the piece,'” Schnyder explains, “then, actually I'm using a part of the composition 'Now's the Time,' that's something that he wrote.”

The libretto for the opera is by Bridgette Wimberly, a Harlem-based poet and playwright. She has created something of a fantasia on Parker's life. Yardbird takes place in the three days between Parker's death in New York and the discovery of his body, which the morgue mislabeled. In Wimberly's libretto, Parker is in a kind of limbo, attempting to write a new piece of music and come to terms with his tragically short life.

“He revisits a lot of places in the opera, in search of himself,” Wimberly says. “And, ideally, at the end he finds himself at peace.”

The opera looks at Parker's relationship with trumpeter Dizzy Gillespie, as well as his relationships with many of the women in his life: his mother, his patroness and his four wives.

“The opera is about him touching back into these specific moments that led him to different directions,” Schnyder says. “You know, he ended up in California, in the insane asylum! Are you going to get all of Charlie Parker's life, per se, in 90 minutes? No. But we're going to touch on the major parts of his life.”

Yardbird premiered in Philadelphia last June to rave reviews from both classical and jazz critics. Now it's being brought to the Apollo Theater in Harlem, where Parker performed. Wimberly says she couldn't be more excited.

“His spirit is here,” Wimberly says. “So, this opera being on this stage - he's going to be all over the joint!”

Once the Harlem run is over, Charlie Parker's Yardbird will move to Chicago and other cities.
