GTX Corp Announces LOCiMOBILE GPS Tracking Apps Cross over 1 Million users in 116 COUNTRIES

Los Angeles, California June 30, 2011‐‐GTX Corp (OTCBB: GTXO.OB), a leader in real-time two way GPS Tracking and personal location services (PLS) today announced its LOCiMOBILE subsidiary’s GPS Tracking Apps crossed over 1 Million downloads with users in 116 countries and continues to be on the top charts of iTunes and Android market place.

“The GPS Tracking app is the simplest way to stay connected to a child, parent, friend or business associate, quickly and accurately from a Smartphone or internet ready device like the iPad, iPod or Android tablet, allowing users to locate people, instantly with one simple touch of a button,” says Patrick Bertagna, CEO of GTX Corp. “We also offer it at a price everyone can afford without compromising privacy.”

LOCiMOBILE’s 2-way GPS tracking platform has garnered a significant increase in awareness and demand, giving GTX Corp a strong foothold in this $13 billion industry. The Company pioneered 2-way GPS tracking technology over 9 years ago and defined an innovative category of location – based services by coining the phrase Personal Location Services (PLS) – because personal location is all about “keeping you connected to whom and what matters most.”

“Increase demand for 2-way GPS tracking can be attributed to several factors including hundreds of millions of new GPS enabled smartphones hitting the market, to an increase in boomers becoming memory impaired, to corporations needing to better manage work productivity and logistics, but the seismic shift came from the massive life style adoption of mobile location based social networking,” adds Mr. Bertagna. “Facebook and Twitter, became giants by answering the “what are you doing question” and we added the missing component… “where is” or “where are you doing it” which has become the new paradigm for staying connected.”

Looking ahead, the Company is continuing to expand its LOCiMOBILE ® proximity marketing platform and has recently partnered with MyChamberApp.com and launched a deal of the day for Pizza Hut a Longview Texas Chamber of commerce member. Kelly Hall, Longview Chamber CEO was recently awarded for best multimedia marketer through her innovative way of leveraging MyChamberApp and LOCi Deals push notification platform amongst her 1,000 plus chamber business partners. This week LOCi Deals were pushed out to thousands of local consumers for a buy one get one free Pizza Hut special.

Alzheimer's Patients Who Wander away from their homes

Here’s a shocking statistic we found on www.gpsshoe.com 60% of Alzheimer’s patients wander away from their homes or care facilities at some point. Half of those who aren’t found within 24 hours end up severely injured or dead. Here’s another shocker: By the year 2050, there will be 16 million adults with Alzheimer’s in the U.S. alone. Which means 3 million mothers, fathers, siblings, neighbors, grandparents, and friends could go missing.

According to Professor Andrew Carle, it’s actually harder to find a missing senior citizen than a missing child. Why? Because when a child’s all alone, it seems odd, so passersby pay attention. However, adults with dementia, Alzheimer’s, or schizophrenia often look normal, and may simply be overlooked. Edward Rochford, the sheriff of Morris County, New Jersey, says that even with 50 rescue workers searching, it can take more than eight hours to find a missing person. Which is way too long for a senior citizen who may be frail, disoriented, or need medication.

Quantitative proof of the frequency of the “where” question being asked

Among all smartphone users, the most popular app among feature phone users is Google Maps (46%) followed closely by Facebook (45%). The simplest conclusion to be drawn from the data is that “where” is my; friend, family, spouse or co-worker must be top of mind for multi-millions and the GPS Tracking app to resolve that question is to be found at LOCiMOBILE, a subsidiary of GTXCorp (GTXO.OB).

Where they are asking the “where” question is now going vehicular…

The number of consumers using telematics smartphone apps with connected cars is about to increase over 40 times in the next five years. ABI Research today estimates that by 2016, 129 million people will use smartphone software that works with a vehicle, up from only 3.2 million consumers this year. Such forecasts could fuel new and innovative mobile apps specific to vehicles and travel-related activities.

Smartphone applications specific to cars may best illustrate the promise of mobility and connectivity: intelligent, discreet devices combined with wireless broadband and smarter cars. While there have been a number of in-vehicle applications for years — think of navigation, point-of-interest searches, real-time traffic data and remote automobile diagnostics — most until now have been constrained for use within the vehicle.

By leveraging the ability for a smartphone to be tied with a car, such apps can move beyond in-car use. And as vehicles gain more processors and sensors, especially in greener cars as noted in a GigaOM Pro report, (subscription required), the possibilities for mobile apps will expand.

So what kinds of mobile apps will connect smartphone-toting drivers with their cars? Ford already launched software specific to its all-electric Ford Focus, allowing users to remotely monitor the battery level and even schedule a recharge during off-peak rate hours. Location Labs, in a partnership with T-Mobile, today launched software that can detect when a driver is behind the wheel of a vehicle and automatically shoot calls direct to voicemail or lock down access to text messaging. Focused on driver safety, the new app appears to monitor vehicle movement through GPS, but in the future, could get that data directly from the car. Whatever the application, mobile broadband and smart handsets combined with the cars of tomorrow could give new meaning to the term “information superhighway.”

The Where Question

Where is my kid, my friend, my spouse, my Alzheimer’s afflicted father and even where am I. CBS Los Angeles Bob McCormick with Money 101 has found an answer in miniature embedded technology.

We cannot leave home without our smartphone

According to a survey from Deloitte, Revolutions 2010, smartphone apps are indeed transforming consumer behavior. More consumers are turning to their smartphone for entertainment, news and information than previous traditional sources.

From the survey, 62 percent of respondents said the availability or presence of mobile apps causes them to carry their smartphones when they otherwise would not. That means as consumers, we cannot leave home without our smartphone.

Testament to the survey’s view of changing consumer behavior patterns can be seen as Apple nears 10 billion app downloads. It only took Apple took nine months to reach 1 billion downloaded wireless applications, and less than two years later, the company is getting ready to issue a $10,000 iTunes gift card to the person who downloads app number 10 billion. At the current pace, this milestone will be reached Jan. 23. Research firm Asymco says that across all three of the iOS-supported devices, users have downloaded an average of 60 apps each.

GTX Corp (GTXO) has been aware of this trend for years developing a portfolio of GPS Tracking and GPS based LOCiMOBILE applications that eschew the public commercialism of Four Square and Gowalla for a robust, private set of functional apps that provide easy to access permission based location information.

With 675,000 DOWNLOADS in 91 COUNTRIES GPS TRACKING APPS LEADER GTX Corp LAUNCHES 3 NEW GPS AND LBS APPS

GPS Tracking Apps keep you connected to everyone, everywhere…

Los Angeles, California September 28, 2010--GTX Corp (OTCBB: GTXO.OB) business unit LOCiMOBILE, Inc. is launching a series of GPS and personal location - based “apps” and web services solidifying its leadership position in the mobile LBS market, which mobile carriers are calling “Pure Gold”.

The new apps all have a GPS component and are designed to add the “where is” factor to functionality. A potential block-buster, the Company launched on the Android market place Phone Tracking ™ in case you loose or misplace your phone. More than 70 million phones are reported lost or stolen in the US each year but while the loss of a phone may be annoying the loss of personal and business data could be devastating. This $4.99 app is designed to work in the background and can be activated to turn on remotely in the event you misplace your phone. The real-time tracking and recovery feature is activated by either texting your phone or by going to the Company viewing portal www.gpstrackingapps.com The cool part is this app is actually activated remotely by texting your phone a PIN or password. Upon receipt of the password your phone will begin sending its location coordinates back to the website every minute or to the phone you are texting from, after each text request.

The Company is also about to launch a new live tracking version of its popular Tracking App which will work in the background on Apples 4.0 OS. Live Tracking ™ already available on Android and BB will be part of the web-based service and offers cross-platform, real-time GPS tracking of friends and family, kids and co-workers.

Entering the photography category GPS Camera ™ which GEO tags and time stamps your photos and enables you to upload them to Facebook or email to friends is expected to go live on iTunes any day. “The ability to see all your digital pictures 5 years from now, displaying exactly where and when that great shot was taken, is a modern adaptation of our parents writing on the back of that old black and white photo (Grand Canyon Spring 1977)” said Carlos Briceno VP of Business Development.

With Juniper Research supporting the theory that mobile LBS is going to become disruptive technology and could drive revenues to more than 12.7 billion with 1 billion smart phones by 2014, the Company is aggressively increasing app development and launching new apps, positioning for a strong presence in the mobile market with a diverse product line, increased global user base, brand recognition and revenues.

Do you know what the Most Innovative Location Device is?

No it’s not a compass or an astrolabe. It’s not semaphore or a smoke signal. Not an RFID tag or a neon sign or phosphorous flare either.

Give up?

It’s the GPS Smart Shoe recently mentioned in Forbes Magazine, developed by GTX Corp (OTCBB: GTXO.OB) and licensed to Aetrex Worldwide. Yes, a shoe…well a very smart shoe as it can tell a caregiver the precise location, bearing, history, speed and altitude of an Alzheimer’s victim that has eloped or wandered. No small feat – pun intended – to reduce the overwhelming stress on the millions of victim caregivers while potentially saving thousands from injuries and death owing to exposure, accidents and criminal activity. The GPS Shoe also reduces the manpower drain on municipal services; fire, police and welfare agencies often enlisted to locate the mentally ill.

While a Finalist in the Most Innovative Location Device category of the Locations & Beyond Summit and the People’s Choice Awards is a wonderful acknowledgment for the years GTXO invested in developing the solution and the promise that Aetrex has made in bringing the Shoe to market…the real winners are those touched by this devastating disease for which there is no cure, but now have a new measure of hope.

Don’t let your child become a statistic.

Of the 800,000 children reported missing each year, only 115 abductions are actual kidnappings where a child is detained overnight, transported at least 50 miles, held for ransom or intended to be kept permanently or worse still…killed.

It only takes a minute to sign up for the Code Amber Ticker which will make you a member of a community of thousands of concerned citizens just like yourself. When everyone is watching everyone else, perpetrators have no where to hide.

HALF A MILLION DOWNLOADS and GROWING

GPS TRACKING APPS LEADER LOCiMOBILE® LAUNCHES NEW APP and COMMUNITY PORTAL FOR EXPANDING MARKET

New Apps and Website Offer Real-Time GPS Tracking for Android® and BlackBerry® Users

Share “Where” Anywhere with Live GPS Tracking

Los Angeles, CA, July 7, 2010-- On the heels of passing 500,000 downloads, GTX Corp (OTCBB: GTXO.OB) unit LOCiMOBILE, Inc. is poised to launch a new series of GPS Tracking “apps” and web-based location services that solidify the company’s leadership position in the location-based social networking market. Starting July 15th, users can download the full-featured BlackBerry® version of LOCiMOBILE’s new “Tracking” app, and subscribe to a web-based service that enables Android® and GPS-enabled BlackBerry users to be tracked from any laptop or desktop computer. The new GPS tracking apps and community portal website offer cross-platform, real-time live tracking of friends and family, kids and co-workers.

For the past two weeks, Android users have been able to download a free, limited version of the “Tracking” app from the Android marketplace. Unlike its fellow apps GPS Tracking and iLOCi2, which do not work in the background and require permission with each and every locate request, “Tracking” is live, continuous, real-time tracking, running in the background after the tracked user grants permission one time.

With the growing popularity of the new Android-OS phones, close to 115 models and global handset makers like Samsung Electronics entering the app space with their recent launch of bada, the LOCiMOBILE platform is well-positioned to increase its market share by providing cross-platform apps along with a web based portal to this burgeoning user community. Share “where” anywhere with one push or click: LOCiMOBILE GPS Tracking Apps.

Tracking runs in the background on both smartphones and can report its location at user-selected intervals (every minute, five minutes, sixty minutes, and so on). Tracking is perfect to obtain the whereabouts of anyone a user cares for or trusts and wants to know where they are at all times. Tracking is opt-in and only possible if added users provide their consent, and user privacy is assured. The Tracking service costs $2.99 per month or $29.99 for a full year.

“Tracking represents a significant shift from LOCiMOBILE’s existing phone-to-phone technologies and offers both new opportunities for users and expanded subscription and advertising revenues for the Company,” explains GTX Corp. CEO Patrick Bertagna. “With downloads having crossed the half a million mark, and all the new app-ready GPS smartphones entering the market, the timing was right to launch our cross-mobile platform to this growing market.”

“Our two-way GPS Tracking technology as seen on CBS News is already being used in shoes to monitor the elderly afflicted with dementia and in iPhone and iPad apps.” Bertagna concludes. “Real-time, continuous tracking operating in the background is a logical progression to help the Company maintain its competitive edge.”

ABI Research predicts that more than 550 million GPS-enabled handsets will be shipped by 2012. LOCiMOBILE®, with eight apps, downloaded in over 84 countries, continues to gain traction and momentum in what is estimated to be a $29 billion dollar market by end of 2013.
