GTX Corp Signs Letter of Intent with GPS Care Limited to Set Up Commercial Operations through a Joint Venture in Honk Kong, Macau, Taiwan, and China

Los Angeles, July 11, 2012 – GTX Corp (OTCBB: GTXO), a leader in customizable, patented 2-way GPS solutions and GPS Care Limited, headquartered in Honk Kong, recently signed a letter of intent to formulate a joint venture to set up commercial operations to sell, distribute and support the entire GTX Corp platform of GPS enabled hardware, software, connectivity and monitoring services.

Under the agreement GPS Care Limited will contribute $2 million in cash along with human resources and local infrastructure. Whereas, GTX shall make non-cash asset contributions including, licensing of Intellectual Property, technology, general know-how, human capital, contracts, sales leads; as well as the rights to sales and distribution of all GTX products and services including its flagship GPS Smart Shoe and Smartphone Apps. Initially the operating regions shall be confined exclusively to Hong Kong, Macau, Taiwan, and the People's Republic of China, however may expand to neighboring countries such as the Philippines, Indonesia, Malaysia and Thailand upon further market analysis and final approval by GTX Corp.

Upon completion of funding GTX Corp and GPS Care Limited shall execute a definitive Joint Venture Agreement facilitating the launch of the GPS Personal Tracking technology owned by GTX Corp and its subsidiaries. GTX Corp will initially own 45% of the JV and have 2 out of the 5 board seats. It is the intention of both parties that the agreement will be completed by or before September 30, 2012; however, the parties may extend the execution date if they mutually see the need and agree to do so.

GPS Care Limited was founded by Dr. Wing Leung who received his Ph.D in Applied Physics from Stanford University and served as the President of Gemstar Technology, Inc. from 1996 to 1999. There is no forgetting Alzheimer's

We are the sum of our memories… remembrances tucked neatly into three pound cerebral packages as fragile as a potato chip with one hundred trillion incomprehensible pathways taken completely for granted until it malfunctions.

Alzheimer’s is still a disease that is routinely diagnosed only after death and autopsy. Newcastle team claims green tea cuts dementia risk.

Regularly drinking green tea could protect the brain against Alzheimer's and other forms of dementia, according to scientists at Newcastle University.

The study showed chemicals created when the tea is digested help prevent the degeneration of brain cells.

Similar research has hinted the beverage could also help protect against some forms of cancer.

The Alzheimer's Research Trust said diet and lifestyle were important in assessing the risks of the disease.

The study is published in the academic journal Phytomedicine.

'Diet and lifestyle'

Project leader Dr Ed Okello, from the university's School of Agriculture, Food and Rural Development, said: "We found when green tea is digested, the resulting chemicals are actually more effective against key triggers of Alzheimer's development than the undigested form of the tea.

University of Minnesota researchers link tau to Alzheimer's disease

The University of Minnesota said Wednesday that scientists have established a firm relationship between a protein known as tau and Alzheimer's disease, the most common form of elderly dementia in the United States.

In a study published in the journal Neuron, researchers say that an early buildup of tau in the dendritic spines, a region of the brain responsible for electrochemical stimulation, can cause memory loss by disrupting communications between brain cells.

Tau has long been considered an early biomarker for the onset of Alzheimer's. By forging a direct link between tau and a specific brain area and function, researchers could possibly design ways to treat Alzheimer's before it significantly damages the brain.

19.2 Billion or 20 bucks?

The government has mandated that all medical records be converted from paper to digital records over the next few years. They have also budgeted 19.2 billion dollars in stimulus money to be handed out to help defray the cost of doing so. Those are your tax dollars by the way. The cost could rise to over 27 billion dollars over the next 10 years.

"A big part of where the government is going is to try to make the data flow more freely amongst providers and hospitals so that your data goes with you instead of staying with the hospital or doctor," said Dr. Michael Swiernik, UCLA Director of Medical Information.

Sounds great, right? But what actually has to happen to make it work?

Currently, some hospitals are making their patient information systems available to their participating doctors so the medical records can be shared and updated between them. It’s a start but not how the program is supposed to work. See Dr. Swiernik’s statement above. Your data is supposed to go with you, not just “staying with the hospital or doctor”.

For the program to work as proposed there has to be a centralized data base that contains all of the electronic medical records for every patient that is accessible by every doctor, clinic, hospital etc. Also, each doctor, hospital, clinic etc. must update the database anytime the patient’s information changes. Updates are the easy part.

Each health care provider must input the patients’ information to create the database. There is the rub. Who goes first? Who starts the process of putting your medical records into the database? How is the database accessed? What equipment is required? How does your doctor get registered as an authorized health care provider in the system?

Do you think that your doctor has the staff or the time and equipment to input every one of their patients' information into that database? Probably not.

Here is a simple $20 solution to a multi billion dollar problem - Code Amber Alertag.

730,000 kids die every year due to accidents

kids ages 5 to 14 get hurt more often than bikers of any other age! Among American children and adolescents, sports and recreational activities comprise about 21 percent of all traumatic brain injuries. Head injury is the leading cause of wheeled sports related deaths. In fact, among children ages 0 to 14, traumatic brain injuries result in 400,000 emergency room visits every year, according to healthline.com. Thankfully, more kids are wearing helmets and carrying Code Amber Alertags.

A study by HHS’ Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality says sports-related injuries are a major factor of kids visits to the emergency room. Emergency-room professionals have their own name for the long, lovely, lazy days that kids look forward to in summer: trauma season. Because that’s when hospitals see a spike in drownings and heat-related accidents.

MYTH: Pool parties are safe as long as adults are around.
FACT: In a minute, a child can go under water. In two or three minutes, the child can lose consciousness. In four or five, the child could suffer irreversible brain damage or die. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, drowning is the second-leading cause of unintentional, injury-related death for children 1 to 14 years old, second only to car and transportation-related accidents.

MYTH: It’s safe to keep kids in car seats when the driver gets out for a quick errand. FACT: The temperature inside a car can rise quickly in the summer, leading to brain damage, kidney failure and death in minutes. When outside temperatures are between 80 F to 100 F, the temperature inside a car can quickly rise to more than 170 F. With an outdoor temperature of 83 F, internal car temperatures can reach 109 F within 15 minutes, even with windows rolled down two inches. Children are less able to handle extreme heat than adults.
